​​Why SAR Thousand Islands Chapter?

For a long time members and prospective members of the Sons of the American Revolution have needed a local chapter in Northern New York to serve their needs and those of the community at large.

Over several years the existing SAR members living or vacationing in the Thousand Islands Region came together to plan for a new chapter along the beautiful Saint Lawrence River.  We chose to make our primary service area in the counties of Jefferson, Saint Lawrence and Lewis. Some members of the SAR also live in Eastern Ontario, Canada and we have afforded them an opportunity to have a closer chapter base.
