About SAR Thousand Islands Chapter
Charter members.​
The Chapter was organized with 32 member, some of which were dual members of other chapters. The Saratoga Battle Chapter helped our chapter form by providing a location for our new members until our chapter was authorized.

There are many persons in the NY North Country who are eligible for membership in the SAR. It is our job to help them become members. Please contact the Registrar at the contact us button above for help with your application.
​Thousand Islands Chapter activities.
​The Chapter participates in many patriotic community activities such as memorial services at nearby Revolutionary War patriots' grave sites, patriotic holiday activities, color guard presentations, etc. Several of our members have costumes for period reinactments, including firing of black powder muskets at special occasions. Our special project is providing wounded warriors with free access to and training on ancestry.com.
